El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad identificar cuáles son las causas que aumentan el tiempo de espera por parte de los pacientes para recibir atención médica mediante seguro en Centro Médico Caribe. Para realizar la investigación se utilizó la herramienta Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA), sus siglas en inglés, la cual nos ayudó a descomponer el problema y así establecer causas y consiguiente subcausas que daban origen a la contrariedad. Una vez identificadas las subcausas del problema mediante esta herramienta procedimos durante 2 semanas a iterar y así realizar pequeñas intervenciones con la finalidad de obtener resultados positivos. Con nuestra investigación buscamos mejorar la atención primaria en Centro Médico Caribe y así mejorar también su propuesta de valor, ya que dentro del mercado son varias las clínicas que brindan el mismo servicio. A lo largo de las iteraciones comprendimos que los niveles de aceptación por parte del personal médico del centro no eran las óptimas, para lograr los resultados que esperábamos.The objective of this research is to identify the causes that increase the waiting time for patients to receive safe medical care at Caribe Medical Center. To accomplish said objective, we apply the Iterative Directed by Problem (PDIA) tool, its acronym in English, which helped us break down the problem. Once we identified the sub-causes of the problem, we applied de PDIA through iterations for two weeks and found insightful results. With our research, we seek to improve primary care in Caribe Medical Center and improve its value proposal in the Honduran market. Throughout the iterations we understood that the levels of acceptance of the medical staff were not optimal, to achieve the results we were expecting.
