Este trabajo de tesis muestra como las tecnologías de la información, en este caso los servicios en la nube pueden mejorar la productividad en las PYME del sector planta externa que se encuentran ubicadas en la ciudad de Tegucigalpa. Para responder a las preguntas de investigación y alcanzar los objetivos propuestos se utilizó como método la investigación documental y empírica. La investigación se realizó con un enfoque cuantitativo de tipo no experimental. Al haberse aplicado el instrumento de investigación a las PYME y luego de haber analizado todas las respuestas obtenidas se encontró que en general el nivel de madurez tecnológica en el uso de las TIC en las PYME es deficiente, sin embargo, las PYME tienen una gran aceptación o interés por conocer los servicios en la nube, que les permita alcanzar sus expectativas al incorporar las TIC en sus empresas. Como producto final de la investigación se elaboró un estudio de factibilidad de implementación de servicios en la nube que obedece a las necesidades encontradas en el sector.The following thesis shows how the information technologies in this case the cloud services can improve the productivity of the PYME from the external plant sector that are located in the city of Tegucigalpa. In order to answer the questions and reach the objectives, the investigation was approached using the cuantitive method non experimental. Once the applied instrument of investigation to the PYME and after analyzing all the answers the study found that the level of technological maturity in the use of TIC in the PYME is deficient, nevertheless the PYME has a great acceptance and interest in getting to know the services in the cloud, that will allow them to reach their expectations once the TIC is properly used in their  business, as the final product of the investigation a Feasibility Study was developed in the implementation of the services in the cloud that obeys to the needs found in this sector.
