dc.descriptionLa hipertensión arterial es un problema de salud pública mundial la cual contribuye a la carga de cardiopatías, eventos cerebrovasculares e insuficiencia renal, y a la mortalidad y discapacidades prematuras. Objetivo. Contribuir al conocimiento de la situación de salud cardiovascular del adulto mayor con Hipertensión arterial atendido en el hospital de occidente. Método. Estudio descriptivo; realizado en el Hospital de Occidente, Santa Rosa de Copán, de donde se obtuvo una muestra de 60 participantes mayores de 60 años. Se utilizó un cuestionario de 23 preguntas, se tomó presión arterial, talla y peso previo consentimiento informado. El criterio para la clasificación de la hipertensión arterial fue la guía de la International Society of Hypertension 2020 y para la parte nutricional se tomaron los rangos de la sociedad española de nutrición parenteral y enteral y sociedad española de geriatría
dc.descriptionHigh blood pressure is a global public health problem which contributes to the burden of heart disease, cerebrovascular events, and kidney failure, and to mortality and premature disabilities. Objective Contribute to the knowledge of the cardiovascular health situation of the eldest adult with high blood pressure treated in the Hospital de Occidente. Method Descriptive study: carried at the Hospital de Occidente, Santa Rosa de Copán, from which a sample of 60 participants over the age of 60 was obtained. A 23-question questionnaire was used, blood pressure, size and weight were taken with informed consent. The criterion for the classification of high blood pressure was taken from the guides of the International Society of Hypertension 2020 and for the nutritional part the ranges from the Spanish society of parenteral and enteral nutrition and Spanish society of geriatrics.
