Las tecnologías de información en los últimos años han jugado un papel importante en mejorar y hacer más eficientes los procesos en las empresas independientemente de la orientación o rubro. El Hospital Escuela es el centro de salud pública más grande del país y carece en gran manera de recursos tecnológicos que permitan realizar de manera eficiente las labores administrativas y operativas. Por esa razón este proyecto de tesis tiene como finalidad realizar un estudio de viabilidad para crear un departamento de tecnologías de información que pueda identificar, analizar, implementar y dar mantenimiento a soluciones tecnológicas que puedan ayudar a mejorar la efectividad de los empleados y el nivel de atención a pacientes. Durante el proyecto se pudo observar que la propuesta es viable ya que no existe una estructura de TI o personal que haga esas funciones de un departamento de TI. Los proyectos realizados por este grupo de profesionales tecnológicos ayudaran a equipar a los empleados con suficientes recursos tecnológicos de hardware y software que permitirá tener mejores tiempos de respuesta en los niveles de atención a la gran cantidad de pacientes que asisten a diario a este centro hospitalario a buscar asistencia médica.Information technologies in recent years have played an important role in improving and making more efficient business processes regardless of the orientation or Sector of the companies. The Hospital Escuela health center is the country's largest public and greatly lacks technological resources that allow to efficiently perform administrative and operational tasks. For that reason this thesis project aims to conduct a viability study to create a department of information technologies that will identify, analyze, implement and maintain technology solutions that can help improve the effectiveness of employees and the attention levels of patients. During the project it was noted that the proposal is feasible because there is no IT infrastructure or staff to do those functions of an IT department. Projects undertaken by this group of technology professionals help equip employees with sufficient technological resources of hardware and software that will allow them to have better response times in attention levels to that large amount of patients attending this hospital daily to seek medical care.
