La práctica profesional fue realizada en la Empresa Nacional Portuaria,en Puerto Cortés,en la Dirección de la Unidad de Operaciones Portuarias(UOP). Dicho departamento es el encargado de manejar la movilidad y logística del puerto realizando todas las operaciones portuarias para el atraque y desatraque de los buques.La UOP trabaja bajo el lema “Navegamos por un mejor país”prestando así el mejor servicio de derecho de puertos a nivel nacional.La UOP está dividida en dos secciones:la dirección de la Unidad y el departamento de Operaciones. En la dirección de la Unidad se manejan asuntos relacionados con la toma de decisionesy conla elaboración de estrategias para el buen funcionamiento de los puertos en el país;en el departamento de Operaciones se realizan las labores para dar los servicios marítimos portuarios.Este departamento es el encargado de brindar la seguridad a los buques, el atraque y desatraque, el amarre de buques, coordinación de los remolcadores de buques, la asignación de terminales y muelles así como la asignación de capitanes para el asesoramiento a los capitanes de buques. Dicho departamento también es el encargado de registrar el procedimiento de las actividades antes mencionadas. Es por ello que esta dirección es una de las más importantes dentro la empresa ya que es la encargada de coordinar y reforzar el sistema operativo en cuanto se refiere a los servicios de derecho de puertos.The internship was carried out at the National Port Company, in Puerto Cortés, in the Port Operations Unit (UOP). This department is also in charge of recording the procedure of the aforementioned activities. That is why this department is one of the most important within the company since it is in charge of coordinating and reinforcing the operational system as far as port law services are concerned.
