Esta tesis presenta una implementación de un sistema de inteligencia de negocios para el manejo de la pesca artesanal en Honduras. La Dirección General de Pesca y Acuicultura y el Centro de Estudios Marinos han impulsado el uso de herramientas tecnológicas en el país que han permitido registrar información relevante en cuanto a los pescadores y pesca artesanal, no obstante, el análisis de esta información no se realiza de la manera más eficiente para la correcta toma de decisiones. Para la realización de este trabajo se tomó en consideración las experiencias y casos de éxitos de la implementación de este tipo de soluciones en otros sectores debido que se encuentra poca información de su implementación en la pesca. El apoyo de las entrevistas tanto de expertos de inteligencia de negocios como del personal encargado en el manejo de la pesca en el país fue fundamental para una implementación exitosa cumpliendo los objetivos propuestos y dando respuesta a la pregunta de investigación, además queda como referencia para próximos trabajos donde se pueda incluir otros sectores no explorados o la inclusión de la pesca industrial.This thesis presents an implementation of a business intelligence system for the management of artisanal fisheries in Honduras. The General Direction of Fishing and Agriculture and the Center for Marine Studies have promoted the use of technological tools in the country that have allowed to register relevant information about fishermen and artisanal fishing, however, the analysis of this information is not done in the most efficient way for the correct decision making. In order to carry out this work, we took into consideration the experiences and success cases of the implementation of this type of solutions in other sectors because there is little information about their implementation in fishing. The support of the interviews of both business intelligence experts and the personal in charge of fishing management in the country was fundamental for a successful implementation, to achieve the objectives and answering the research question, as well stays as reference for future works where other unexplored sectors can be included or the inclusion of industrial fishing.
