La presente investigación tiene como finalidad analizar el impacto que ha tenido Gildan Activewear con el inicio de la pandemia del Covid-19. Esto con el objetivo de identificar las áreas de trabajo que se han visto más afectadas, identificar cuáles han sido los aumentos y los nuevos costos de la empresa y finalmente medir el impacto de la producción en cuanto a la calidad de los productos. Recalcando que esto se analizará a partir del inicio de la pandemia Covid-19. Para llevar a cabo la investigación se aplicó la herramienta de investigación cualitativa, siendo esta la entrevista. Las entrevistas fueron aplicadas a tres personas que trabajan actualmente en la planta de Choloma Río Nance, quienes laboran en el departamento de calidad y en el de producción. Dicha herramienta se utilizó con el fin de conocer cuáles han sido los diferentes cambios presentados en los diversos departamentos de la empresa, enfocándonos en los costos, la calidad y en sus operaciones. La presente investigación proveerá una base histórica sobre Gildan y como ha sido su desempeño a partir del inicio de la pandemia. Se presentan una serie de gráficos en los cuales se observa cuáles han sido los cambios en la producción de las diferentes plantas desde el primer trimestre del año, durante el inicio de la pandemia, hasta la actualidadThe purpose of this research is to analyze the impact that Gildan Activewear has had with the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. This with the aim of identifying the work areas that have been most affected, identifying what the increases have been and the new costs of the company and finally measure the impact of production in terms of product quality, emphasizing that this will be analyzed from the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. To carry out the research, the qualitative research tool was applied, this being the interview. The interviews were applied to three people who currently work at the Choloma Río Nance plant, who work in the quality and production departments. This tool was used in order to know what the different changes have been presented in the various departments of the company, focusing on costs, quality and its operations. This investigation will provide a historical background on Gildan and how its performance has been since the beginning of the pandemic. A series of graphs are presented in which the changes in the production of the different plants are observed from the first quarter of the year, during the start of the pandemic, to the present.
