La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo desarrollar un modelo de mejoramiento para el control de inventario de productos a reordenar en un supermercado por medio de la metodología Lean Seis Sigma. Se estudió a fondo esta metodología y las herramientas que ofrece para descartar cuáles podían ser utilizadas para cumplir el objetivo. Se determinaron utilizar la metodología DMAIC y la herramienta Kanban para solventar el problema. Se implementó DMAIC, se definió el problema con el inventario, en la etapa de medir se le pidieron datos históricos a la empresa, en la etapa de analizar se realizó un diagrama de causa y efecto en donde se encontró que la causa raíz del problema es que el staff no sabe qué productos se deben de reponer en stock ya que no se tiene un control visual. Para mejora, se implementó Kanban, por dos semanas con 38 productos se obtuvo que el 2.6% de ellos puede ser considerado a reordenarse debido a que se vendieron grandes cantidades, para el resto se debe de evaluar si el producto que quedo en stock es suficiente para cubrir la demanda.The present research was aimed to develop an improvement model for the inventory control of products to be reordered in a supermarket by means of the Lean Six Sigma methodology. This methodology and the tools it offers were studied in depth to rule out which could be used to meet the objective. They were determined to use the DMAIC methodology and the Kanban tool to solve the problem. DMAIC was implemented, the problem with the inventory was defined, in the measurement stage the company was asked for historical data, in the analysis stage a cause and effect diagram was made where it was found that the root cause of the problem is that the staff does not know which products should be replaced in stock since there is no visual control. For improvement, Kanban was implemented, for two weeks with 38 products it was obtained that 2.6% of them can be considered to be reordered due to the fact that large quantities were sold, for the rest it must be evaluated if the product that remained in stock is sufficient to meet the demand.
