El Hospital Cemesa se enfoca en ofrecer las mejores prácticas de salud a la población del país con equipo más innovador y tecnológico que existe en el mercado. El hospital es conocido como el más tecnológico e innovador del país, siendo el más visionario y orientado a las nuevas necesidades de salud de la población de Honduras. Esta mentalidad de la alta gerencia ha logrado cultivar una cultura de emprendimiento en sector salud y ha conseguido que otros hospitales del país busquen innovar sus servicios. Es por ello por lo que el Hospital Cemesa debe innovar constantemente, y con la innovación vienen nuevos proyectos de control y nuevos procedimientos para el manejo de las actividades a realizarse. Al solicitar la realización de la práctica en el hospital, el departamento de auditoría solicitó que la hiciera en su departamento ya que la jefatura de dicho departamento busca nuevas ideas e intenta adaptarse a las nuevas ideologías que traen los jóvenes de hoy en día. Lic. Gladys Ponce, la jefatura de auditoría, comentó que “me gusta trabajar con mentes jóvenes porque tienen muy buenas ideas de cómo mejorar actividades que no se han mejorado en bastante tiempo. Esas ideas usualmente vienen de cabezas que no conocen los temas y por eso buscan la solución a los problemas fuera de la caja.” El departamento de auditoría está compuesto por la jefatura y cuatro jóvenes entre 24 a 30 años.
