| dc.description | La presente investigación se efectuó en la Subsecretaría de Seguridad en Asuntos Interinstitucionales, con sede en la ciudad de Tegucigalpa, Honduras, C.A., la cual, es una institución gubernamental encargada de brindar análisis de información necesaria, relevante y confiable, que de manera continua y oportuna permita la definición de indicadores, políticas e intervenciones dirigidas a mejorar las condiciones de seguridad, y convivencia de la población en general. Desde esta entidad se han impulsado muchas iniciativas y proyectos para mejorar los sistemas de información en cuanto a la captura y procesamiento de los datos, no obstante, se puede identificar que el proceso de comunicación, distribución y análisis, aún no es muy eficiente y esto se puede traducir en desaciertos en la toma de decisiones. Ante la situación expuesta, se puede identificar la necesidad de analizar la información, y es aquí donde haciendo uso de la inteligencia de negocios con la integración de diferentes fuentes de información se propone desarrollar una herramienta tecnológica que explote los datos históricos al máximo, brindando beneficios como: agilizar el proceso de toma de decisiones, eliminar la centralización de la información, y la focalización de los lugares más afectados por factores de inseguridad. | |
| dc.description | This research was conducted in The Undersecretary of Security in Interinstitutional Matters, based in the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, which is a governmental institution in charge of providing analysis of necessary, relevant and reliable information, in a continuous manner and timely allow the definition of indicators, policies and interventions aimed at improving security conditions, and coexistence of the population in general. From this entity many initiatives and projects have been promoted to improve information systems in terms of data capture and processing, however, it can be identified that the communication, distribution and analysis process is not yet very efficient and this it can translate into mistakes in decision-making. Given the exposed situation, it is possible to identify the need to analyze the information, and this is where using business intelligence with the integration of different sources of information, it is proposed to develop a technological tool that exploits historical data to the maximum, providing benefits such as: speed up the decision-making process, eliminate the centralization of information, and the targeting of the most affected places by factors of insecurity. | |
