La ausencia de mantenimiento en los centros educativos públicos del país, así como la estimación en cuanto a sus costos, impacta de manera negativa en el estado de la infraestructura y por ende en su vida útil. En la actualidad el principal responsable del mantenimiento de centros educativos es la Secretaría de Educación a través de la Dirección General de Construcciones Escolares. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo desarrollar una propuesta de mantenimiento de la infraestructura de los centros educativos públicos, tomando en cuenta la participación de los interesados, la identificación del tipo de mantenimiento, los roles de los responsables, el ciclo más apropiado de mantenimiento y la determinación de los porcentajes óptimos de inversión para prolongar la vida útil de las instalaciones.The absence of maintenance in public schools in the country, as well as the estimation of their costs, negatively impacts the state of the infrastructure and therefore its useful life. Currently the main responsible for the maintenance of educational centers is the Ministry of Education through the General Directorate of School Buildings.The objective of this research is to develop a proposal to maintain the infrastructure of public educational centers, taking into account the participation of the interested parties, the identification of the type of maintenance, the roles of those responsible, the most appropriate maintenance cycle and the determination of the optimal investment percentages to prolong the useful life of the facilities.
