La actividad naviera, es un negocio muy interesante e importante ya que está íntimamente ligado al desarrollo. Este contribuye al crecimiento del producto interno bruto (PIB) y el nivel de empleo. Siendo una herramienta en la cual se mezclan buques con miles de toneladas de mercancías de todo tipo, las cuales han sido negociadas en fletes y que a la vez son transportadas a todo el mundo. En el intervienen grandes holdings de empresas de servicios y simples productores primarios. Gracias a la globalización el mundo va cambiando, el transporte de mercancías por agua da lugar a nuevos servicios. El fin de la actividad naviera es que los productos sean recibidos en distintas partes del mundo en menor tiempo (Las agencias navieras y su importancia en la industria marítima auxiliar, 2011).  Durante la práctica profesional en North Atlantic Internacional Ocean Carrier se estuvo en contacto con la mayoría de los departamentos. Se asistió en la parte administrativa y asimismo de ejecución. En la parte administrativa, se realizaba documentación, desde la impresión de los mismos hasta armar los paquetes de papelería que se le entregaría al cliente final. Se archivó, y se asistió en el área de servicio al cliente, la cual implica realizar cotizaciones, digitalización de facturas entre otras cosas. En la parte de ejecución se llevaban a cabo actividades como ser remisiones de los vehículos ya coordinados con grúas, confirmación de retiro de vehículos, actualización de lo que el cliente pago, auditoría de los costos y almacenaje y valor de grúa, etc. En el presente también se puede encontrar información más detallada de las actividades realizadas. The shipping activity is a very interesting and important business since it is closely linked to development. In the administrative part, documentation was carried out, from printing them to putting together the stationery packages that would be delivered to the final client. It was filed, and assistance was provided in the customer service area, which involves making quotes, digitizing invoices, among other things.
