El presente documento describe el proceso de investigación que se llevó a cabo con la finalidad de identificar alternativas para mejorar las condiciones de vida de los migrantes retornados, así como las limitaciones que enfrentan para la generación de recursos económicos que les permitan junto a sus familias acceder a una mejor calidad de vida. El estudio se basó en un enfoque mixto utilizando como técnicas de investigación la encuesta que fue aplicada a un total de 98 emigrantes retornados y entrevistas dirigidas a representantes de instituciones que trabajan en programas dirigidos atender a esta población; conforme a los resultados se identifica que la mayor limitante para la generación de ingresos para los migrantes retornados es el bajo nivel escolar y la falta de conocimiento técnico para ser competitivo dentro del mercado laboral por lo que se hace imprescindible la generación de un espacio que permita el fortalecimiento y fomento de las capacidades, habilidades y destrezas necesarias que permitan su integración al mercado laboral y/o gestionar un emprendimiento.This document describes the research process that was carried out with the purpose of identifying alternatives to improve the living conditions of returned migrants, as well as the limitations they face in generating economic resources that allow them, together with their families, to access to a better quality of life. The study was based on a mixed approach using as research techniques the survey that was applied to a total of 98 returned migrants and the interview addressed to representatives of institutions working in programs aimed at serving this population. According to the results, it is identified that the greatest limitation for the generation of income for returned migrants is the low level of schooling and the lack of technical knowledge to be competitive in the labor market, so it is essential to generate a space that allows the strengthening and promotion of the necessary capacities, abilities and skills that allow their integration into the labor market and / or manage a venture.
