Resumen
El presente documento sintetiza el trabajo realizado en el proyecto “Inventario Arquitectónico del Casco Histórico de El Progreso, Yoro”, como primera instancia para otorgar la valorización de las edificaciones antiguas del centro histórico de esta ciudad; que se encuentra declarado, pero, no cuenta con el estudio y análisis respectivo que lo valide. Esta actividad se realizó en conjunto con el Instituto Hondureño de Antropología e Historia y en coordinación con el equipo municipal de la Gerencia de Planificación Urbana asignado por la Corporación Municipal. Uno de los primeros aspectos fue, lograr concientizar a los habitantes de la gran importancia de las edificaciones, el valor cultural y arquitectónico, así mismo dar comienzo a proyectos que impulsen la economía y el reconocimiento de la cultura local entre ellos, la nueva imagen de la Calle del Comercio y la remodelación del parque las Mercedes. Con este objetivo se realizó una investigación de hechos históricos basados en documentación fotográfica y publicaciones de ciudadanos progreseños de diferentes épocas. Con este conocimiento se generaron guías y estadísticas que sirven como fundamento para la gestión y levantamiento de fichas de los inmuebles seleccionados, a través del recorrido y análisis del Casco Histórico, y elaboración de un anteproyecto de remodelación, que incluya la vinculación entre construcciones del modernismo actual y las históricas. Con el objetivo de contribuir a la conservación de la historia cultural, se generaron 21 Fichas de Inmuebles, para la puesta en valor de la ciudad de El Progreso, Yoro y sus alrededores. Al concluir esta labor determinamos que, el perímetro del Centro Histórico se encuentra delimitado, pero se han perdido un 85% de edificaciones antiguas; de no actuar, la consecuencia será la pérdida de vestigios del origen de la ciudad y su valor histórico This document summarizes the work carried out in the project Architectural Inventory of the Historical Center of El Progreso, Yoro”, as the first instance to grant the valorization of the old buildings in the historic center of this city; which is declared, but not It has the respective study and analysis that validates it. At the conclusion of this work, we determined that the perimeter of the Historic Center is delimited, but 85% of old buildings have been lost; of not acting, the consequence will be the loss of vestiges of the origin of the city and its historical value
