| dc.description | This study aims to present a survey of the city of Araguaína by focusing especially
the formation of CIMBA sector, highlighting the great relationship of its development
with the overall growth of the city as the economic and social development of the city
began in reality from 1960 with the construction of Transbrasiliana highway, which
helped the city to grow exorbitantly compared to other nearby cities that were bigger
and even older. Currently the city is one of the most important economic centers of
the state of Tocantins, with the other special growth factor installing colleges, both
public and private, triggering the expansion of several segments related to economy
and its population increase. The CIMBA sector began its facilities with the
implementation of (Industrial and Commercial Company of the Amazon Basin),
owned by Mr. Benedito Vicente Ferreira, popularly known by Benedito Good Luck.
Representing the first commercial hub and major employer in the city, making it the
third largest city of the then state of Goiás, second only to Goiania and Anápolis, but
there were some difficulties that limited industrial expansion in this period, as the
energy is not suitable for production, lack of access there was no fuel filling stations,
among others. Situation have been resolved from a lot of effort and dedication, so
that today the sector in focus, can be the only Public University (UFT) Federal
University of Tocantins, the (CAT) Labor Activity Center, Student House, the Centre
direct purchase of family and other agriculture, having a differential of other sectors.
Although currently this is already considered by its location almost in the central part
of the city, thus adding to Araguaína remains a major commercial and educational
center of the State. | |
| dc.description | Este estudo objetiva em apresentar uma pesquisa sobre a cidade de Araguaína,
dando enfoque especialmente a formação do Setor Cimba, evidenciando a grande
relação do seu desenvolvimento com o crescimento geral da cidade, pois o
desenvolvimento econômico-social do município começou na realidade a partir de
1960, com a construção da rodovia Transbrasiliana, o que contribuiu com que a
cidade crescesse exorbitantemente em relação às demais cidades próximas que
eram maiores e até mais antigas. Atualmente a cidade representa um dos polos
econômicos mais relevantes do Estado do Tocantins, tendo como outro fator
especial de crescimento a instalação de faculdades, tanto pública como privada,
desencadeando na ampliação de diversos segmentos ligados a economia e ao seu
aumento populacional. O setor Cimba iniciou-se suas instalações com a implantação
da (Companhia Industrial e Mercantil da Bacia Amazônica), de propriedade do
senhor Benedito Vicente Ferreira, conhecido popularmente por Benedito Boa Sorte.
Representando o primeiro polo comercial e empregador de grande porte da cidade,
tornando-a a terceira maior cidade do então Estado de Goiás, perdendo apenas para
Goiânia e Anápolis, porém havia algumas dificuldades que limitavam a ampliação
industrial nesse período, como a energia não ser adequada para a produção, falta
de acesso, não havia postos de abastecimentos de combustíveis, entre outros.
Situação que foram sanadas a partir de muito esforço e dedicação, para que hoje o
setor em foco, consiga ter a única Universidade Pública (UFT) Universidade Federal
do Tocantins, o (CAT) Centro de Atividades do Trabalhador, Casa do Estudante, o
Centro de compra direta de agricultura familiar e outros, possuindo um diferencial
dos demais setores. Embora que atualmente este já é considerado pela sua
localização quase que na parte central da cidade, assim acrescentando para que
Araguaína continue sendo um grande centro comercial e educacional do Estado. | |
