Resumen
Presents the mapping of the psychosocial risks related to the work of the Military police
officers operating in the state of Tocantins. Specifically, the characteristics of the prescribed
work organization are investigated; the management style of the work organization is
evaluated; the risks of pathogenic suffering are raised in the participants and the physical and
psychosocial damages resulting from the work of the police are identified. Participated in the
research the Military Police crowded in Arraias (1° CIPM), Taquaralto (6° BPM), Guaraí (7°
BPM), Palmas (1° BPM), Porto Nacional (5° BPM), Araguaína (2° BPM), e Araguatins (9°
BPM). The protocol for the evaluation of psychosocial Risks at work was used as a data
collection instrument (PROART). There were 686 voluntary contributions, 53.5% of the total
valid population comprising 1281police officers. The research was based on a quantitative
approach and descriptive statistics were used, through the SPSS program. The results show
that the majority of the participating military police officers are: a) male (89.8%); b) have
until high school (42.08%); c) are married or live in a stable union (75%); d) have more than
20 years of service in the Institution (35.5%) and less than five in the current position
(54.8%); e) belong to the lower rank of military hierarchy (80.7%); f) exercise the operational
function (61.7%); g) and had 1 or 2 health problems in the last year (51.3%). Regarding the
psychosocial risks arising from the worker-organization relationship between the participants,
it was found that the Task Division, as well as the Division of Work, were likely to cause
medium psychosocial risks in responding police officers. In the first, the most critical item
was related to the insufficient number of workers to perform the tasks. For the Social Work
Division, the most problematic item was related to the non-participation of the Police in the
decisions about the work. There is a slight predominance of the Managerial Style in relation
to the Collective. The most punctuated items were: "The hierarchy is valued in this
organization" and "There is strong control of the work". As for the risks of pathogenic
suffering, there was a low risk for the lack of meaning in the work and for the lack of
recognition, whereas the Mental Exhaustion factor had an average risk. The most critical
factor is "revolt by subjecting your work to political decisions." We identified low risk for
psychosocial and average damage to physical damage, "sleep disturbances" "back pain" and
"leg pain" outside the items with higher averages. Therefore, through this mapping that the
Tocantins Military Police, participants of this study, are exposed to Medium Psychosocial
Risks for the way in which the organization is structured, mainly for the ineffective, for the
little autonomy and freedom of expression, as well as for the interference politics in
organizational decisions, limitations that reflect on physical pain and changes in sleep. This
represents a state of alert where interventions are suggested in the medium to short term to
avoid the possible sickness of their workers. Lastly, the positive items that must be
maintained and strengthened in the PMTO are highlighted: work sense and recognition.
da organização prescrita do trabalho; avalia-se o estilo de gestão da organização do trabalho;
BPM), Porto Nacional (5° BPM), Araguaína (2° BPM), e Araguatins (9° BPM).
respondentes.
trabalho”.
