This study shows the incidences in the teaching of the English foreign language and how this is favored through the application of an innovative program based on the total physical response (TPR) method, it is also based on an interpretive paradigm, an introspective approach Experiential, on the other hand, a qualitative research approach, in addition this research is based on the method action research (AR), this was carried out at the Policarpa Salavarrieta educational institution in the municipality of Sabanagrande, Atlántico; Instruments such as a documentary analysis were applied, as well as an interview with the 1st grade teachers, which yielded favorable results for a future application of the innovative program based on the Total Physical Response (TPR) method. Adjusts to academic needs and resources regarding the English foreign language.Este estudio muestra las incidencias en la enseñanza de la lengua extranjera inglés y como esta se favorece a través de la aplicación de un programa innovador basado en el método total physical response (TPR), así mismo se fundamenta en un paradigma interpretativo, un enfoque introspectivo vivencial, por otro lado un enfoque investigativo cualitativo, además esta investigación se sustenta bajo el método de investigación método investigación – acción (IA), esta se llevó acabo en la Institución educativa Policarpa Salavarrieta del municipio de Sabanagrande, Atlántico; Se aplicaron instrumentos tales como un análisis documental, así también una entrevista a las docentes de Primer 1º grado, las cuales arrojaron resultados favorables para una aplicación futura del programa innovador basado en el método Total Physical Response (TPR), de tal manera esta propuesta se ajusta a las necesidades académicas y los recursos con respecto a la lengua extranjera inglés.
