This paper developed aims to raise awareness young high school students about the history and culture of black people in Brazil, in order to repair and even prevent racial discrimination. The affirmative action that I intend to work on in this project is the Racial Quota. There are, in Brazil, a structural racism, which directly impacts on the socio-political, cultural, economic and labor insertion of people of African descent, to the point that many, even today, are ashamed of their color, their features, their hair and so on. However, since the implementation of the affirmative policy of racial quota and greater insertion of blacks in previously restricted spaces, this picture has been changing, still insufficiently, but forcefully. Bearing in mind teaching action is necessary to raise awareness of gender, racial and ethnic diversity in the country and especially within the school environment. Therefore, I want to propose an intervention project aimed at high school students, according to Law No. 10,639 / 2003, which made the teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture compulsory in all schools in the country. Thus, through affirmative actions and reparation policies, the recognition and appreciation of the history, culture and identity of these peoples is sought. Therefore, in this present project, I intend to unveil and highlight the ethnic-racial diversity, in order to prevent racial discrimination, through an action directed by teachers. This is a transdisciplinary action aimed at demonstrating how the recognition and appreciation of the history of black people in Brazil can contribute to the reduction and also the end of racial discrimination in schools and in the society in general.O trabalho aqui desenvolvido visa conscientizar jovens do Ensino Médio sobre a história e cultura do negro no Brasil, a fim de reparar e até mesmo prevenir a discriminação racial. A ação afirmativa a qual pretendo trabalhar nesse projeto é a Cota Racial. Temos, no Brasil, um racismo estrutural, que impacta diretamente na inserção sócio-política, cultural, econômica e laboral dos povos afrodescendentes, a ponto de muitos, ainda hoje, terem vergonha de sua cor, de seus traços, cabelo etc. No entanto, desde a implementação da política afirmativa de cota racial e de maior inserção de negros em espaços antes restritos, esse panorama vem mudando, de modo ainda insuficiente, mas contundente. Tendo em vista, a ação docente torna-se necessária para a conscientização da diversidade de gênero, sexual e étnico racial no país e, especialmente, dentro do espaço escolar. Por isso, quero propor um projeto de intervenção voltado para os alunos do Ensino Médio, conforme a Lei nº10.639/2003, que tornou obrigatório o ensino de história e cultura africana e afro-brasileira em todas as escolas do país. Assim, por meio de ações afirmativas e de políticas de reparação, busca-se o reconhecimento e a valorização da história, da cultura e da identidade desses povos. Portanto, com o presente projeto, pretendo desvendar e evidenciar a diversidade étnico-racial, a fim de prevenir a discriminação racial, por meio de uma ação dirigida por docentes. Trata-se de uma ação transdisciplinar, visando demonstrar como o reconhecimento e a valorização da história do negro no Brasil podem contribuir para a diminuição e, por que não, fim da discriminação racial nas escolas e na sociedade, em geral
