dc.description | Teaching mathematics and, more specifically, Euclidean geometry in regular teaching has
not been easy for many teachers, as they are often seen by students as uninteresting and
involving too much abstraction. In order to improve teaching and, especially, to encourage
the continuous formation of teachers, since these are the main diffusers of mathematics, this
work concisely brings fractal geometry. A geometry based on its emergence, to understand
forms of nature that do not fit into Euclidean geometry, the so-called fractals. Throughout
the work is presenting a brief history, some important definitions for its study and soon
thereafter are proposed activities for the classroom, often with the help of technology,
which is a great ally in teaching, not only mathematics, but of any discipline. Thus,
the activities bring this geometry "unknown", but that instigates the student, since it is
dynamic and at the same time, rests on Euclidean geometry. | |
euclidiana. | |
