he objective of this work was to develop some reflections based on two infanto-juvenile literatures of the firefly collection, "Adventure in the Empire of the Sun" by the author Silvia Cintra Franco and "Win or Win" author Raul Drewnick on the sport volleyball practiced by women, on women in the sports environment, not as a viewer, but as an active agent, practitioner of the sport, and the pedagogical practice of sports. We conclude that through the advancement of civilization and positions already achieved, women still have a long way to go, there is much to be achieved, for even history shows us the achievements and changes in society, women still do not have the prestige and visibility that man has. Finally, even though women's participation has increased significantly in recent years, in terms of income sports, their acceptance is still limited. The little knowledge about how the physical education classes are given, the little knowledge not of the professionals of the area, but of the population in general, and this lack of knowledge leads to previous judgment if without truths. Observations were made reading after reading, quick readings and more detailed readings, seeking to find the important points to be studied.O objetivo deste trabalho foi desenvolver algumas reflexões com base em duas literaturas infanto-juvenis da coleção vagalume, “Aventura no Império do Sol” da autora Silvia Cintra Franco e “Vencer ou Vencer” do autor Raul Drewnick sobre o esporte voleibol praticado por mulheres, sobre a mulher no ambiente esportivo, não como telespectadora, mas como agente ativo, praticante da modalidade, e a prática pedagógica do esporte. Concluímos que mediante o avanço civilizatório e posições já conquistadas, a mulher ainda tem um caminho longo para percorrer, há muito para ser conquistado, pois mesmo a história nos mostrando as conquistas e mudanças ocorridas na sociedade, à mulher ainda não tem o prestígio e visibilidade que o homem tem. Enfim, mesmo que a participação feminina tenha aumentado de forma significativa nos últimos anos, no que se refere ao esporte de rendimento a sua aceitação ainda é limitada. O pouco conhecimento sobre como são dadas as aulas de educação física, o pouco conhecimento não dos profissionais da área, mas da população em geral, e essa falta de conhecimento leva a julgamento prévios se sem verdades. As observações foram feitas leitura após leitura, leituras rápidas e leituras mais detalhadas, buscando encontra os pontos importantes a serem estudados.São Cristóvão, SE
