This research deal with the universe of the Childhood and the Younth in the social risk s situations. We can raise the hypothesis that a specific institucional speech about the women circulates over there. Then, several images of the denigrated woman were constituted. These images of the women correspond to the sheltered children s mother. Since the origins of the institutions of shelter for abandoned children, in the advent of Modernity, it already circulated a speech on the women and their maternal s behaviors. They had been accused to leave their children in the doors of the hospices and churches of the Europe of century XVIII, during the dawn, to anyone take care them. "They didn t follow the designs of God", somebody said, they denied to follow their "maternal instinct". Therefore, these women must be out of the bourgeois family s social order. Where could have a place for them in the social speech? The woman who abandons a child comes to occupy a denied place in imaginary collective speech? Deste universo, podemos levantar a hipótese de que circule, ali, um discurso institucional específico sobre o Feminino, representado pela imagem da mulher denegrida, estigmatizada e marginalizada. Essa imagem da mulher corresponde, principalmente, à mãe da criança abrigada. Desde as origens das instituições de abrigo para crianças abandonadas, no advento da Modernidade, já circulava um discurso sobre o Feminino e sobre as mulheres que ali deixavam por diferentes razões. Essas instituições tiveram como paradigma à Roda dos Expostos, uma estrutura da arquitetura moderna era constituída por uma caixa giratória cravada em um muro de pedra. Na caixa, podiam-se deixar os bebês e as crianças maiores, durante a madrugada, para que fossem cuidados pelas igrejas e hospícios da Europa do século XVIII. Este ato foi identificado culturalmente como das mulheres, mães dos expostos, reconhecidas como adúlteras, infratoras, ou que não perseguiam os desígnios de Deus, por se negarem a seguir seu instinto maternal . Portanto, estas mulheres estariam fora da ordem social da família burguesa, bem como fora da ordem moral da igreja católica. Onde haveria um lugar para elas no discurso social? Que lugar a mulher que abandona um filho vem a ocupar no imaginário coletivo? Buscamos interrogar, assim, a respeito do que poderá ter permanecido ou transformado, desde as rodas dos expostos, até às atuais instituições de abrigos, das formas de se conceber os sentidos sobre as mulheres e suas feminilidades.
