Since 2003 he has been a professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia. He teaches classes in the undergraduate course in Agronomy and in the Graduate Program in Agronomy. Tem experiência nas áreas de Fitopatologia e de Recursos Florestais e Engenharia Florestal, com ênfase em Florestamento e Reflorestamento, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Eucalyptus, seringueira, teca, mognos africanos, outras espécies de interesse econômico, silício na agricultura e epidemiologia de doenças florestais.
