El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar una sección del testimonio del libro de Domitila Barrios “Si me permiten hablar” en especial el capítulo ¿Dónde está la minera? Una mujer aymara de las minas de Bolivia que relata de forma desgarradora todo lo que vivió junto a su pequeña hija durante los días en prisión, bajo el régimen militar del general René Barrientos luego de ocurrida la masacre de San Juan. El propósito consiste en apreciar cómo a través de la voz y el relato de una mujer, se denuncia la represión y la tortura de la que ella fue víctima siendo además un discurso que se entreteje con la memoria larga indígena. A través de sus palabras intento analizar cómo se conecta y cómo influye en las dolorosas vivencias que narra, su condición de género, su rol de madre y de líder sindical.Palabras claves: Memoria. Maternidad.ABSTRACTOThis article was written with the objective of analyzing part of the testimony presented in the book “Let Me Speak!”, especially the chapter called “Where is the Miner Woman?”, where Domitila Barrios, an aimara woman from the Bolivian mines, narrates a heartbreaking story about what she lived together with her small daughter during their days imprisoned by the military regime of General René Barrientos, after San Juan Massacre. The aim of this article is to portray how repression and torture are exposed through this woman’s voice. Her discourse interweaves with the natives’ memories and it can be seen how her gender condition, her role as a mother and a union leader and her painful experiences are connected with the natives’ experience.
