We present the procedures and preliminary results of archaeologicaland ethnoarchaeological research held in May 2010, with the objective of locating the Asurini do Xingu old settlements on the banks of the Ipiaçava river and verify the archaeological potential of this area of Kuatinemu Indigenous Land. Both the archaeologists and the Asurini Indians carried out the project, contributing with different interests and expertise in the preparation, organization, logistics, activities schedule and the interpretation of the rain forest landscape and material data. Reporting this experience, we wish to contribute for the debate about reflexive and multivocal practices, highlighting the multicultural dialogue and expression of different forms of knowledge and histories brought to Archaeology. Keywords: community archaeology, multivocality, Asurini do Xingu.Apresentaremos os procedimentos e primeiros resultados da pesquisa arqueológica e etnoarqueológica realizada em maio de 2010, com o objetivo de localizar os antigos assentamentos Asurini às margens do igarapé Ipiaçava e verificar o potencial arqueológico dessa parte da T.I. Kuatinemu. Mostraremos que os arqueólogos e os Asurini protagonizaram o projeto, contribuindo com diferentes interesses e expertises na sua elaboração, organização logística, cronograma de atividades ena interpretação dos vestígios materiais encontrados. Relatando esta experiência, queremos contribuir ao debate sobre as práticas reflexivas e multivocais, destacando as contribuições que o diálogo multicultural e a expressão de diferentes formas de conhecimento e historicidade trazem à Arqueologia. Palavras-chave: arqueologia colaborativa, multivocalidade, Asurini do Xingu.
