Resumen
A boreta????o ?? um processo termoqu??mico de difus??o de boro no estado s??lido que tem por objetivo aumentar a resist??ncia ao desgaste atrav??s da forma????o de uma camada dura de boretos de ferro na superf??cie do a??o. As propriedades dessas camadas podem ser alteradas com a difus??o combinada de boro com outros elementos qu??micos simultaneamente, como por exemplo o alum??nio, para elevar a resist??ncia ?? oxida????o, ou o van??dio, para elevar a resist??ncia ao desgaste superficial. Neste trabalho s??o apresentados os resultados obtidos com a difus??o combinada de boro e lant??nio.
