dc.descriptionAs análises histomorfométricas geram parâmetros espermatogênicos que podem ser usados para compreensão da biologia reprodutiva das espécies. Esses dados, aplicados aos componentes testiculares, permitem a descrição da espermatogênese das espécies e, a partir deles, é possível elencar informações precisas dos processos reprodutivos intraespecíficos. O testículo é dividido em compartimento tubular, onde acontece a espermatogênese, e compartimento intertubular onde as células de Leydig produzem a testosterona. Oecomys bicolor é um roedor de pequeno porte encontrado no cerrado brasileiro e Monodelphis americana é um marsupial, também de pequeno porte, presente na Mata Atlântica. Oecomys bicolor tem 89,72% do parênquima testicular alocado em túbulos seminíferos e 10,28% em compartimento intertubular, enquanto Monodelphis americana apresenta 83,16% do parênquima testicular alocado em túbulos seminíferos e 16,84% alocados em compartimento intertubular. Em ambas as espécies, pela distribuição dos componentes testiculares, os machos foram descritos tendo comportamento sexual promíscuo. Pela descrição dos estádios pelo método do desenvolvimento acrossômico foram descritos 12 estádios para Oecomys bicolor e 10 estádios para Monodelphis americana. Palavras-chave: Espermatogênese. dc.descriptionHistomorphometric analyzes produces spermatogenic parameters that can be used to understand the reproductive biology of the species. These data applied to testicular components allow the description of the spermatogenesis of the species and from them it is possible to list precise information about the intraspecific reproductive processes. The testis is divided into a tubular compartment where spermatogenesis occurs and an intertubular compartment where Leydig cells produce testosterone. Oecomys bicolor is a small rodent found in the Brazilian cerrado and Monodelphis americana is a small marsupial present in the Atlantic Forest. Oecomys bicolor has 89.72% of the testicular parenchyma allocated in the seminiferous tubules and 10.28% in the intertubular compartment. Monodelphis americana presents 83.16% of the testicular parenchyma allocated in the seminiferous tubules and 16.84% allocated in the intertubular compartment. In both species, by the distribution of testicular components, males were described as having promiscuous sexual behavior. By the description of the stages by the method of acrosomal development, 12 stages were described for Oecomys bicolor and 10 stages for Monodelphis americana. Keywords: Spermatogenesis.
