Resumen
This study aims to explain the impact of MNE-driven development on
inequalities with a focus on job opportunities for men and women in
emerging countries and to highlight the importance of gender issues in
global development indicators. Specifically, it aims to answer the following
question: How have MNEs in Colombia contributed to the creation of
job inequalities for men and women in the country? The case study
methodology was used to address this question using secondary sources
such as databases and reports available on the internet. The results show
that FDI in emerging countries has unforeseen outcomes that affect the
economies and well-being of their populations due to the lack of assimilative
capacities of local governments, poor regulations and weak infrastructures
for democratization of opportunities and resources, which increases gender
inequalities. No aplica
