This article weaves on the contributions of social media Twitter in learning. The purpose of the research is to verify the potential of said social media in the training process of teachers and students. With this objective, we intend to answer the following question: "What educational experiences are available on the Internet regarding Twitter in Education?". To this end, a bibliographic study was carried out that sought to identify the manuscripts, published since 2010, in Brazilian scientific journals, which dealt with the theme and its effective contributions to education. The search was carried out on Google Scholar, using the descriptors “Twitter in learning”, “Twitter in education” and “Twitter in education”, from November 2020 to February 2021. It was found that Twitter can be constituted in a pedagogical tool, for presenting advantages for a meaningful learning when well explored by the teacher in an educational context.Este artigo tece sobre as contribuições da mídia social Twitter na aprendizagem. A finalidade da pesquisa é verificar o potencial da referida mídia social no processo formativo de professores e alunos. Com este objetivo, pretende-se responder a seguinte questão: “Que experiências educativas se encontram disponíveis na internet a respeito do Twitter na Educação?”. Para tanto, realizou-se um estudo bibliográfico que buscou identificar os manuscritos, publicados a partir de 2010, em revistas científicas brasileiras, que versavam acerca da temática e seus efetivos contributos na educação. A busca foi realizada no Google Acadêmico, por meio dos descritores “Twitter na aprendizagem”, “Twitter na educação” e “Twitter no ensino”, no período de novembro de 2020 a fevereiro de 2021. Verificou-se que o Twitter pode se constituir em uma ferramenta pedagógica, por apresentar vantagens para uma aprendizagem significativa quando bem explorada pelo professor em contexto educativo.
