This article deals with the construction of maps in two specific Rio Grande do Sul contexts. One of them is the Vila Renascença I, in Porto Alegre and the other of Mbya-Guarani Indians residing in Rio Grande do Sul. It is narrated in two contexts the creating of mapsmaking workshops through a participatory artistic practice, which allows us reflect on place, gentrification and territory.O presente artigo aborda a construção de mapas em dois contextos específicos do RS. Um deles se trata da Vila Renascença I, em Porto Alegre e o outro de indígenas mbya-guaranis residentes no Rio Grande do Sul. É narrada nos dois contextos a realização de oficinas de construção de mapas mediante uma prática artística participativa, a qual nos permite refletir sobre lugar, gentrificação e território.
