| dc.description | French fictional narratives circulated in Brazil since the mid-eighteenth century. In Portuguese translations or in its original language, French books of fiction were imported by Rio de Janeiro’s booksellers. After the arrival of D. João and his Court and the establishment of the Royal Press, some narratives were printed in the city, translated. They are extensive Novels or moral tales with a few pages, which won the appreciation of the public and remained in the imagination of readers. We will comment on some French fictional narratives, printed in Brazil and announced by booksellers in the newspapers, between 1810 and 1822. | en-US |
| dc.description | Narrativas ficcionais francesas circulavam no Brasil desde meados do século XVIII. Em traduções portuguesas ou no idioma original, a prosa de ficção francesa era importada por livreiros do rio de Janeiro. Após a chegada de D. João e sua Corte e a fundação da impressão régia do rio de Janeiro, algumas narrativas foram impressas na cidade, em traduções. São romances extensos ou contos morais de poucas páginas, que conquistaram o público e permaneceram no imaginário dos leitores. Comentaremos algumas narrativas ficcionais francesas, impressas no brasil e anunciadas por livreiros em jornais da Corte, entre 1810 e 1822. | pt-BR |
