dc.descriptionThis work intends to present a brief discussion on some fundamental issues between Economy and Ecology, trying to analyze thetwo main theoretical chains of the economic science regarding the environment: the environmental economy and the ecological economy. The imperfections left by the environmental economy theory, of neoclassical origin, and the concern on environmental problems of the modern world, request urgency in the revision of many economic concepts, in search of a new way to think the connections between economy and nature. From the moment that the economic system created by the man is no longer compatible with the ecological system offered by the nature, generating serious environmental crises, it is necessary a new adaptation of these relations. Thus the ecological economy appears, bringing great contributions and opening ways that make the construction of new relations between economy and ecology possible.en-US
dc.descriptionEste trabalho busca apresentar uma breve discussão sobre algumas questões fundamentais entre Economia e meio ambiente, procurando analisar as duas principais correntes teóricas da ciência econômica comrelação ao tema: a economia ambiental e a economia ecológica. As falhas deixadas pela teoria da economia ambiental, de origem neoclássica, e a preocupação quanto aos problemas ambientais do mundo moderno, solicitam urgência na revisão de muitos conceitos econômicos, buscando uma nova maneira de pensar as conexões entre economia e natureza. No momento em que o sistema econômico criado pelo homem não é mais compatível com o sistema ecológico oferecido pela natureza, gerando graves crises ambientais, ocorre ànecessidade de uma nova adaptação dessas relações. Assim surge a economia ecológica, trazendo grandes contribuições e abrindo caminhos que possibilitem a construção de novas relações entre economia e ecologia.pt-BR
