This paper presents the results of the research carried out on associativism in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The study comprised the evaluation of the effective degree of socio-political participation of the population, and the identification, quantification, categorization and mapping of civil society entities.Este trabalho apresenta os resultados da pesquisa realizada sobre o associativismo no município do Rio de Janeiro. O estudo compreendeu a avaliação do grau efetivo de participação sócio-política da população, e a identificação, quantificação, categorização e mapeamento das entidades da sociedade civil.
