Resumen
A gestação é um momento em que ocorrem intensas modificações para mulher. Estas modificações compreendem também a região bucal, que devido às alterações hormonais, negligência na higienização bucal, alterações na dieta e hiperacidez do meio bucal presente durante este momento revelam-se como condições predisponentes às doenças bucais, como a cárie e as periodontites. Logo, é importante promover ações educativas que visem contribuir à saúde bucal das gestantes e consequentemente do bebê. Objetivos: Realizar uma pesquisa de revisão de literatura a respeito das contribuições promovida pelas ações de educação em saúde à saúde bucal do binômio mãe-filho. Métodos: Foram levantados artigos da base de dados da biblioteca virtual BIREME a partir da década de 80, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol, utilizando-se o link LILACS com as palavras chave: saúde bucal, saúde bucal em gestantes, mulheres grávidas, educação em saúde e promoção de saúde. Conclusão: Hábitos e informações saudáveis são mais facilmente adotados quando as medidas de educação voltadas à saúde bucal do binômio mãe-filho são transmitidas de forma precoce Introduction: The gestation is a moment where intense modifications for woman
occur. These modifications also understand the oral region, that had to the hormones
alterations, recklessness in the oral hygienic cleaning, alterations in the diet and very
acidez of the present oral way during this moment show as predisponent conditions
to the oral illnesses, as the caries and the periodontites. Soon, it is important to
promote action educative that they aim at weather to contribute to the oral health of
the pregnant women and the baby. Objectives: To carry through a research of
revision of literature regarding the contributions promoted by the actions of education
in health to the oral health of the binomial mother-son. Methods: We collected
articles from the database BIREME virtual library from the 80, in Portuguese, English
and Spanish, using the link LILACS using the following keywords: oral health, oral
health in pregnant women, pregnant women, health education and health promotion.
Conclusion: Healthy Habits and information are more easily adopted when the
measures of education focused on oral health of both mother and child are
transmitted early.
