This article aims at advancing in the formalization of a general theory of subjecive theories. It consists of a proposal that contains the ontological, epistemological and methodological assumptions that are essential in order to sustain the theory, based on which the proposal reconsiders the key concepts being used and formulates basic propositions to state it. Apart from providing theoretical support in central aspects for the study of subjective theories, the goal of our work is to be useful when applying the theory in a diversity of psychological research fields, as well as when intervening to produce change in subjective theories and in the way they orient behaviorEl presente artículo tiene como objetivo avanzar en la formalización de una teoría general de las teorías subjetivas. Consiste en una propuesta que contiene los supuestos ontológicos, epistemológicos y metodológicos indispensables para sustentar la teoría, a partir de los cuales replantea los conceptos claves en uso y formula proposiciones básicas para enunciarla. Además de proporcionar soporte teórico en aspectos centrales para el estudio de las teorías subjetivas, el trabajo realizado tiene como propósitos ser de utilidad para la aplicación de la teoría en diversas áreas de la investigación psicológica, como también en la intervención para producir cambios en las teorías subjetivas y en cómo éstas orientan el comportamiento.
