Resumen
Our goal was to explore prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites in Dasypus novemcinctus in the Reserva Natural del Bosque Mbaracayú (RNBM), in Paraguay for the first time. Most of the areas selected for sampling are remote (with low or infrequent contact with humans and associated domestic animals) although the existence of roads, illegal hunting, research, tourism, and illegal hunting and planting of marihuana may have some impact on the armadillo’s health status.
