Resumen
La International Association for the Study of Pain define el dolor como “Una experiencia sensorial y emocional desagradable, asociada con un daño tisular, real o potencial, descrita en términos de dicho daño”; el dolor, ha sido investigado por diferentes áreas de la salud de acuerdo a su objeto de estudio, particularmente para su manejo desde la fisioterapia una de las técnicas manuales comúnmente utilizadas en esta última década, es la Inducción Miofascial® para ayudar a su modulación del dolor y reducir las barreras restrictivas o las adhesiones fibrosas observadas entre las capas del tejido fascial.
