Películas biológicas: qué son y cómo se forman

Abstract

Las películas biológicas (biopelículas) se han convertido en una herramienta de tratamiento importante. Aunque su uso se remonta a finales del siglo XIX, nuestro conocimiento de cómo operan y qué factores influyen en su formación y estructura se han dilucidado sólo recientemente. Con este artículo se pretende dar a conocer cómo se encuentra el estado del arte con respecto a esta tecnología de tratamiento.

Biological films (biofilms) have become an important treatment tool. Although their use dates back to the late 19th century, our understanding of how they operate and what factors influence their formation and structure has only recently been elucidated. This article aims to make known how the state of the art is with respect to this treatment technology.
