This mixed research starts from the need to improve the learning processes of
early childhood students through the implementation of didactic strategies,
mediated by games, to promote reading comprehension in early childhood
students. The concurrent design was used, which allows the simultaneous
collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
To meet the stated objective, an initial analysis was carried out to identify the
context, the students' abilities and the interaction they have with reading; families
were also surveyed. Different activities were developed that involved play as the
main strategy to promote learning. motivation and learning.
To analyze the information obtained during the different sessions or interventions,
the survey was used as a diagnostic tool, the observation guide and the IMMS to
collect the information from the different encounters.
The results obtained are satisfactory in the face-to-face mode because the
participation and willingness of the students to carry out the activities was optimal.
The opposite happened in the virtual modality, since there were constant
distractors that did not contribute to the attention and motivation of the students
was necessary for the development of the activities.
In conclusion, the game is the indispensable strategy that must be considered in
the pedagogical interactions with early childhood students, it not only helps the
construction of learning, but also contributes to the emotional development of the
students from the earliest ages
