El propósito de este ensayo es determinar la importancia que para los guardas de seguridad puede representar la certificación de las competencias laborales, al momento de vincularse con una empresa de seguridad privada, teniendo en cuenta que existe un Plan Educativo Institucional en Seguridad Privada autorizado por la Superintendencia de Vigilancia y Seguridad Privada que establece los lineamientos para mejorar los conocimientos de los guardas de seguridad al respecto. Pese a que la certificación no es un requisito para incorporarse en una empresa de Seguridad Privada, el autor muestra las bondades de esta certificación para quien la obtenga por medio del Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje o cualquier otra entidad autorizada, para lograr mejores oportunidades laborales y, por supuesto, reconocimiento acerca de las bondades de sus capacidades y aptitudes en el desempeño de funciones de seguridad.The purpose of this essay is to determine the importance that the certification of job skills may represent for security guards, at the time of joining a private security company, taking into account that there is an Institutional Educational Plan in Private Security, authorized by the Superintendence of Surveillance and Security that establishes the guidelines to improve the knowledge of security guards in this regard.
