El artículo Implementación del Plan Maestro Ferroviario como una política pública viable en Colombia, muestra la historia de los ferrocarriles y su importancia en la economía nacional en el siglo XX, cuando le permitió a Antioquia sacar de su territorio el café, el carbón y otros minerales hacia el resto del país y del exterior. Luego plantea la importancia de recuperar la vía ferroviaria, evidenciando los alcances y obstáculos que se han presentado desde 2018, cuando el Gobierno decidió reconstruirla. El contenido se apoya en los análisis que han aportado el Departamento Nacional de Planeación, la Agencia Nacional de Infraestructura, el Ministerio de Transporte y algunas investigaciones de autores especializados. Analiza los tramos que están en funcionamiento y destaca que disminuyen costos de transporte, no afectan el medio ambiente y contrarrestan la inseguridad del transporte por carretera. The article Implementation of the Railway Master Plan, as a viable public policy in Colombia, shows the history of railways and their importance in the national economy in the 20th century, when it allowed Antioquia to take coffee, coal and other minerals out of its territory towards the rest of the country and abroad. Then it raises the importance of creating and recovering the railway line, evidencing the scope and obstacles that have arisen since 2018, when the Government decided to rebuilt it. The content is based on the analyzes provided by the National Planning Department, the National Infrastructure Agency, the Ministry of Transportation and some research by specialized authors. It analyzes the section that are in operation and highlights that they reduce transport cost, do not affect the environment and counteract the insecurity of road transport. Pregrado
