The work below is a business improvement for the Arepas Don Peto factory in the commercial, operational and financial area, helping the businesswoman to identify what her market niche is, for this the CANVAS model and the SWED matrix were used as a tool, the scope of the study market was to five municipalities of the province as: El Cocuy, El Espino, Panqueba, Macaws and Güicán, very touristic places for its attractive "Nevado el Cocuy", thus obtaining the demand for 300 packages (x 5uds) of arepas a week that the market needs, from this result the study or calculation of capacity man hours for production and personnel necessary to hire is established, identifying the bottleneck processes that delayed production a lot and therefore more than personnel were hired. The normal, generating cost overruns and little profit, also took into account the legal rights of workers who work for days, since the production of 300 packages go only two days a week, with these data we proceed to perform and establish financial and economic aspects of the company for the present and future, aspects that the businesswoman did not have and therefore decisions were made without taking into account a budget of the same.
