Resumen
The following research study aims to propose general strategies for the design of an envelope in the city of Bucaramanga from the principles of biomimetic design. The research approach is characterized by putting into practice a methodological structure that allows the extraction f environmental and climatic information from the analysis of native plant species, showing a
transition process between architecture and biology that allows establishing design strategies.
Biomimetic for the case study. It is based on three phases: The first phase addresses the research determining the area where the project is developed by identifying limiting study factors and adaption mechanisms, the second phase focuses on the abstraction and transformation of data to obtain adaption principles, and the third phase is based on presenting these strategies as biomimetic design principles for an enveloping architecture. At the end of the project, a series of general strategies are proposed, to obtain dynamic solutions that work as a design principle for the preparation of proposals that are much more adaptable to their environment, the objective of this project is to classify this process as a functional tool. So that future research can implement it in the structuring of their proposals.
