Propuesta de intervención urbana para el malecón del Rio de Oro, entre las carreras 25 y 29 en el municipio de Girón, Santander

Abstract

Urban intervention proposal on the northern riverside of Rio de Oro’s pier, throughout 27th street and between 25th and 29th in the municipality of Giron, Santander; aimed to this population, specially to the communities that live in the neighborhoods of Sagrado Corazon, El Tejar, El Malecon, El Gallineral and Villa Campestre, as everyone who wants to visit the cultural heritage of this region. The project is based on the recovery and rehabilitation of this sector’s urbanism, in such a way that the rescue of the road profiles, sidewalks and the invaded public space would be crucial aspects. With this the plan is to generate areas with multiple functions, aesthetically better adapted to the existing urban and natural elements in the site and at the same time to bring protection to the riverbed of this important water source called Rio de Oro. All of the above begins with the use of the universal accessibility concept, landscape design and urban-humanist theories; always keeping in mind the development plans in current urban regulations of the municipality of Giron.
