Resumen
This document evidences the work carried out by the Study Group of the Master of Administration - MBA, within the framework of the Institutional project "reports of multicampus social projection". Here, it will be analyzed what type of relationship is managed between labor standards and Social Responsibility, identifying the contributions to the objectives of sustainable development from university social responsibility, with these inputs a tool will be created that allows us to carry out the evaluation of universities. from the perspective of university social responsibility.
Likewise, identify that correlation between the policies and procedures for managing labor standards, within which we find: the commitments, strategies, management systems and effective mechanisms that aim to integrate human rights within them.
Relevance is also made to the degree of importance that is handled in the labor field in the fulfillment of rights and the strategies implemented by the global pact are reviewed to encourage compliance with standards and the value of human and labor rights. With the above, a self-assessment tool will be created to serve as support for higher education entities to assess whether these standards and regulations are met within the University seen as an organization.
However, seeing the need for entities to verify compliance with the ISO 26000 Standard, which despite being created as a consultation tool, allows validating the status of HEIs against Social Responsibility, in the search for information with the keywords and adding: "Evaluation tool, evaluation manual, evaluation format", a model similar to the one proposed was not found; Nor are there evaluation data or specific compliance indicators for HEIs in Colombia in relation to the indicators.
With the above, the need to implement said evaluation tool is justified, since, when reviewing the indicators of Labor Standards and Labor Regulations, data focused on theory and regulations are found, but it is not possible to find evaluative data or indicators. related to HEIs.
In order to reach the implementation of said tool, the theory that guides the study is reviewed, it is university social responsibility seen from two perspectives: a first one that integrates the stakeholders or interested parties (2015) from the meanings, the socially responsible behavior and the strengthening an institutional culture; the second provides a public policy approach (2014), where it integrates the University's strategy articulated with the accountability process to guide the actions and trends that it will carry out around university social responsibility.
The approach given to the document is qualitative of a descriptive type and the analysis is carried out from the content that allows the design, validation and appropriation of the data collection tools, oriented to the contribution in terms of actions for the achievement of the SDGs in specific number 8 "Decent work and economic growth", identifying the relationship with labor standards and their application in educational institutions, and number 5 "Gender equality integrated to the empowerment of women", seen from the workplace.
Within the documentary review, the validation of the antecedents of the labor standards is carried out from the creation of the Global Compact, identifying the relationship of said standards from the national context, taking as a reference the international regulations related to the ILO, where it is conceptualized. decent work, child labour, equal pay, right of association and non-discrimination.
Likewise, the main conclusions show the need for the execution of University Social Responsibility - RSU as an Institutional policy, identifying as a starting point the defense of human rights from the point of view of labor standards and the relation of the institutional capacity with the interested parties, to implement more efficient actions contributing to social problems, oriented to: Labor Practices (1) labor environment, (2) current working conditions and social protection for workers and external workers (3) social interview (4) Safety and health at work and (5) human and professional development and training and education in the workplace. Just like the fundamental principles and rights at work.
