Abstract

This document exposes the urban, economic and social aspects and analysis required for the design of a river port for the municipality of Leticia, in which a strategy is proposed that contributes to solving the current needs of the capital of the Amazon and in turn achieved promote the development of the Amazon region through an infrastructure model where cargo and tourism modalities will be implemented to achieve a mixed use of national and international service, with the purpose of connecting between Amazon countries starting from the port of Paita and Iquitos in Peru, going through the proposed fluvial port in Colombia, connecting to the port of Manaus in Brazil and ending in Belem, reaching the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean. Generating from this connection a bioceanic rapprochement between these countries and in turn increasing the flow between passengers and cargo in favor of the economy and growth of the region.
