Resumen
The purpose of this project is to design a control system that will contribute to the improvement of activities such as testing and calibration that are provided in the Piedecuesta GAS CDT Corporation, in addition to proposing a tool that allows the monitoring and control of the loan of equipment in the laboratories. With the objective of providing a better use of the available resources.
This project was carried out with the support of the laboratories' personnel and the assurance area. In the first stage a diagnosis of the services was made and the critical points were identified for a correct execution of the activities in which the analysis of the 5S' was carried out, in the second stage a time study of the calibration and testing services was elaborated which contributed with the update of the installed capacity of the laboratory, for the third stage improvement strategies were presented in favor of the fulfillment of the clients, the use of the available resources and the performance of the workers; In the third stage, strategies were presented to improve customer satisfaction, the use of available resources and the performance of workers; to reduce waste and identify bottlenecks; and office tools and management indicators for the programming and control of the services provided. In the fourth phase, the improvements were analyzed, and the results were reported, concluding that the project's objectives were fully met.
