Resumen
The department of Santander is a territory characterised, at national level, by its contribution to floral biodiversity and its relationship with the pre-Columbian historical legacy founded in the Guane culture. However, the conservation status of its flora biodiversity is threatened by the irrational use of natural resources promoted by the development of human activities for profit that threaten the ecosystem services offered by this floristic inventory and, consequently, the regional natural and cultural heritage. Therefore, the research was oriented to evaluate the impact of the didactic unit with technological resources Bucarica: The guanes and the plants in the strengthening of the competence of the living environment.
on the relationship between plants and human beings in eleventh grade students of the Vicente Azuero Technical School. For this, a mixed research approach was implemented with a four-phase action-research method: identification of the students' ethnobotanical knowledge and applications and their relationship with Guane ethnobotany through a survey, design and implementation of a didactic unit with technological resources from an ethnobotanical investigation of the Guane culture, and evaluation of the didactic unit through a mixed Likert-type questionnaire. The results of the study led to the conclusion that the didactic unit had a positive and significant impact at the pedagogical, disciplinary and social levels, since the technology-mediated didactic unit strengthened their knowledge of the relationship between the plants of Santander and their cultural identity, as well as promoting access to ethnobotanical knowledge, It also promoted access to ethnobotanical knowledge of the region through the characterisation of an ethnobotanical compilation of the Guane culture, the creation of the first free access digital repository on ethnobotany of the Guane culture and the design and improvement of a didactic unit for free access to educational institutions in the region.
