This work aims to provide practical and technical support in the buying and selling area of Industria Productora De Arroz Blanco S.A.S., a company dedicated to the production and commercialization of rice and its derivatives. The student conducted their professional internship in this company, assuming the role of trainee professional in the purchasing department. The specific objectives include monitoring raw material purchases, generating market strategies, providing support in production areas, comparing supplier prices, and negotiating and selling rice products. The company is constituted as a Simplified Stock Company (Sociedad por Acciones Simplificada) and has trained personnel and vehicles for product transportation.
The functions performed by the student included updating portfolios, formulating marketing strategies, researching new markets, and advising on raw material production projects. They also focused on improving product quality, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, and optimizing production processes.
Additionally, a plan for improving the occupational health and safety system of the company was proposed, aiming to prevent injuries and illnesses caused by managing heavy loads and uncomfortable postures. Risk sources were identified, and responsible parties were established for identification and improvement actions.
This report seeks to demonstrate the importance of professional internships as a tool for training and developing competencies in the business field, and how these experiences can contribute to the growth and strengthening of companies and the sector as a whole (Diaz, 2023).
