Resumen
Introduction: In Colombia, Burnout Syndrome is recognized in legislation as a work-related illness caused by stress. This condition affects both the company's productivity and internal processes, as well as the well-being of the employees themselves. In other words, Burnout Syndrome refers to a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion that develops in the workplace due to work-related stress and the employee's lifestyle. This exhaustion has the potential to negatively impact the company's performance and effectiveness. Objective: The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between the level of Burnout Syndrome and the productivity of employees at Mensajería Chicamocha Express. Methodology: A case study was conducted with the participation of 65 employees from the company. The participants were administered the Maslach Burnout Inventory test and the productivity test for companies developed by the Colombian Ministry of Commerce. The methodology employed is mixed, utilizing quantitative analysis of numerical data and qualitative data to identify and formulate a scientific problem. Results: The dimensions measuring the level of Burnout Syndrome in the organization showed mostly positive results, except for depersonalization, which obtained a negative rating. On the other hand, the evaluation of productivity using the measurement instrument indicated good levels, but there is still room for improvement. Furthermore, it was observed that the Burnout index is inversely proportional to the productivity of the intervened company. According to the correlational result, using the Pearson coefficient, there is a low positive correlation between Burnout Syndrome and Productivity, with a score of 0.371. This falls within the range of the Person's scale for low positive correlation.
