Diseño y fabricación de un equipo fijo funcional para el entrenamiento de taekwondo

Abstract

In this project is going to be developed the designing, manufacturing and working of a portable prototype for taekwondo training, it is designed to display numeric values of strength on a screen when is hit by kicks and punches. The main motivation of this project is to satisfy the necessity of known the strength reference values applied, in that way improve the athlete's development during competitions, giving a reinforcement to the memory muscles.

After taking the requirement during adaptation training, and proposing some design options, it was selected the most adequate to balance the manufacturing, cost and implementation of the prototype in the real life. Elements like mechanism and joints were calculated to accomplish with the expectations of working. In the end, the prototype was manufactured, and it was tested with the Santo Tomás taekwondo team.

The results were analyzed, and it was possible to find the failings in the mechanism and the structure, as consequence, it is suggested to make some modifications that allow to improve the working of the machine.
